Personalized food intelligence

What's actually hiding in your food?

You eat three times a day, mostly blind. Yemmi reads every label, ingredient, and menu, and grades it for your body. Not a stranger's average. Yours.

Free to start. No account needed. For educational purposes only, not medical advice.

Safe on your triggers. Better than 9 of 10 in its aisle.
The label works against you

The back of the pack is written to be skimmed, not understood

Three of four packaged products are built in a lab, not cooked or grown. The claims on the front rarely match the list on the back. You're not bad at this. The label is designed this way.

60+

Names for sugar

Cane juice, maltodextrin, rice syrup. The same sweetener wears dozens of disguises so it never has to say "sugar" up front.

Meals a year

You'll eat more than a thousand meals this year. Right now you probably know what's really in maybe ten of them.

Open at the shelf

Googling one ingredient at a time, still unsure, holding up the aisle. Yemmi turns all of it into one grade in about a second.

How Yemmi works

Point. Grade. Done.

No homework, no logging marathon. Three steps from confusion to a clear answer you can trust.

1

Scan, snap, or search

A barcode, a photo of your meal or a menu, or just the name. Packaged food, fresh plates, and restaurant dishes all work.

2

Get your grade

An A-to-F grade for your body, your flagged ingredients in red, and the reasoning in plain English. No jargon.

3

Swap, plan, or log

Take a better swap in the same store, add it to your week, or log it in a second and move on.

Why your grade is different

Same food. Different body. Different answer.

Most of how a food affects you comes down to you, not the food. In a study of 800 people, researchers found the response to the same meal varied wildly from body to body (Zeevi et al., Cell, 2015). A single score for everyone was never going to fit.

A
For your partner

Hits their protein goal, nothing they avoid. Great pick.

C
For you

Same protein bar. More added sugar than protein, and a trigger you flagged. Not your best move.

One product. Two bodies. Two honest answers. That's the whole idea.

Common questions

Before your first scan

What is Yemmi?

Yemmi is a personalized food intelligence app. Scan a barcode, snap a meal, or search a food, and Yemmi gives it an A-to-F grade tuned to your goals, allergens, and conditions, then explains why in plain English.

How is it different from Yuka or Fooducate?

Most scanners give every shopper the same score. Yemmi grades the same food differently for different people. The protein bar that earns an A for your partner can earn a C for you, because your body isn't average. See the full comparison.

Can Yemmi flag my allergens and triggers?

Yes. Set them once, and Yemmi checks every scan against them before you read the label, flagging anything unsafe for you in red. More on the allergen check.

Does it work without a barcode?

Yes. Scan a barcode, photograph the label or the meal on your plate, or search by name. All three give you a grade and an ingredient breakdown.

Is Yemmi free?

Yemmi is free to start, with no account required. A premium subscription includes unlimited scanning, the weekly meal planner, Smart Swap, and more. Pricing is shown in the App Store.

Does Yemmi give medical advice?

No. Yemmi is for educational purposes only. It surfaces information about ingredients and patterns, but it does not diagnose or treat, and it does not replace a healthcare professional. See our medical disclaimer.
